Podcast recording
Not a echoey meeting room: at Magyaranzo we seat two to four voices at a table with fixed mic distances, controlled acoustics and an engineer watching levels while you focus on the conversation.
Podcast recording targets interview shows, co-hosted chats, internal company podcasts and narrative formats where everyone sits in the studio together. It is not location field recording; it is a controlled room at Maasstraat 47 in Amsterdam where you need less cleanup afterward.
Book hourly (€105, setup included) or a fixed package per episode up to ninety minutes (€295). Both prices include 21% VAT. Single voice-over or one presenter in isolation: vocal recording. Heavier post: mixing or your own editor.
How it works
Format
Share host count, expected duration, export needs (per stem or stereo) and your hosting platform via contact.
Table and mics
Placement, pop filters, headphones and a quiet monitor if you bring video. Setup is included in hourly and episode rates.
Record
Conversation in one or several takes with breaks. The engineer watches for clipping and background noise without interrupting unless needed.
Export
Separate WAV per stem plus optional stereo mix for quick upload. Files within the agreed window; archive 24 months.
Which shows fit this room
Two hosts facing each other, an interviewer with two guests, panels up to four people, or a solo host with a producer at the table — that is the sweet spot. Solo narration with many edits often works better in the vocal booth; live audience or loud music needs a separate plan because of bleed and scheduling.
Company podcasts on sensitive topics benefit from a neutral studio outside the office; we handle recordings under privacy policy and can sign a data processing agreement for B2B.
Layout and acoustics
Mics sit at a fixed distance with pop filters; table and chairs are chosen to limit table knock. Panels keep reverb short so your host needs less EQ. Headphones are closed enough to limit bleed yet comfortable for sessions up to ninety minutes.
Bringing video? Discuss light and camera position in advance; we keep mics out of frame where possible without hurting sound.
Monitoring and conversation flow
Hosts hear themselves and each other at a calm level — not concert volume. The engineer in the control room watches meters and can suggest a short pause when sirens or coffee cups get too loud.
Using an outline or question list? Paper or tablet is fine; we reduce keyboard taps on the table with soft mats or paper notes.

The episode package covers setup and recording within the time cap; very long panels or extra languages may need more hours. Net reference: €86.78 per hour ex VAT.
Files for your host
Default is one mono WAV per host, 24-bit / 48 kHz, with clear file names. Optional stereo mix for fast publishing — not a substitute for serious dynamics work if your show needs it.
Spotify, Apple Podcasts or internal LMS: you upload; we do not provide hosting accounts. Streaming loudness targets belong with your editor or via mixing if you want that here.
Post-production and revisions
Basic export is clean and aligned; heavy editing (ums, music, jingles) is yours or a podcast editor's. Mixing at Magyaranzo targets music production; light podcast balance can be agreed as separate hours.
Revision rounds for mix services follow terms and conditions (2 rounds). Small export mistakes on our side within 1 business day after delivery we fix at no charge.
Practical: hours, access and team
Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00. Closed Sunday.. From Vijzelgracht metro (line 52) it is about a 7-minute walk via Ferdinand Bolstraat to Maasstraat. Tram 4 (Stadhouderskade stop) is roughly 5 minutes on foot. On-street parking is limited; P+R or garages near Overtoom are easier.. Address: Maasstraat 47, 1078 EP Amsterdam. Scheduling runs through studio coordination and recording engineers; general questions to [email protected].
Book at least a week ahead in busy periods. Deposit 30%; cancel free up to 5 days before under terms. Business clients: payment term 14 days when agreed.

- Remote guests on a poor phone line without proper IP audio
- Unlimited extra guests beyond four without a new layout

Combining with other services
Recording intro music or a jingle the same day can happen in the booth or with a musician in the live room if time and patching allow. Mastering a jingle is mastering. Budget extra blocks; the episode package covers spoken podcast capture only.

FAQ
How many people at the table?
Two to four hosts comfortably; a fifth is sometimes possible with tighter mics and more setup time. Beyond that we change layout or split sessions.
Can we dial in a remote guest?
Core service is in-studio. Remote on proper IP audio can be discussed; a phone speaker on the table rarely yields usable quality. Plan alternatives via contact.
Hourly rate versus episode package?
€105 suits short or experimental sessions. €295 bundles up to ninety minutes and standard export — handy for a regular show rhythm.
Do you deliver show notes or transcripts?
Not unless quoted separately. We focus on capture and export. Your editor or tools at home can transcribe from our WAVs.
Can we play our own intro music?
Yes, via monitor or line input when levels are legal and you hold rights. Recording live music in the same session costs extra time.
How fast do files arrive?
Often same day or within one business day by link. Large batches or custom naming may take slightly longer; we confirm at booking.
